How to Add Multiple Currencies

1 min read

Adding multiple currencies to your website or web application allows you to offer your users a diverse range of currency options for transactions and display purposes. Follow these steps to add multiple currencies to your admin panel:

Step 1: Login as Admin #

Access the administration panel of your website or web application by entering the admin credentials (username and password) that were provided to you during the initial setup.

Step 2: Go to Settings #

Once you’re logged in, navigate to the “Settings” section within the admin panel. This section is typically located in the main menu or sidebar of the admin panel.

Step 3: Find Currency Option #

Inside the “Settings” page, search for an option labeled “Currency” or something similar. Look for a section where you can manage currencies.

Step 4: Click on “Add Currency” #

In the Currency section, you will typically find two options: “Add Currency” and a list of existing currencies. Click on the “Add Currency” option to initiate the process of adding a new currency.

Step 5: Fill Currency Details #

A popup or form will appear, asking for the currency details. You need to provide the following information:

  • Currency Code (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP, etc.): Enter the three-letter currency code that represents the currency you want to add.
  • Currency Symbol (e.g., $, €, £, etc.): Enter the symbol that is commonly used to represent the currency, such as “$” for US Dollars, “€” for Euros, or “£” for British Pounds.
  • Exchange Rate: Enter the exchange rate of the new currency compared to the base currency. This rate determines how the new currency’s value relates to the default or base currency. In many cases, you may leave this field blank, as exchange rates can be automatically updated by cron jobs or other means.

Step 6: Click on “Add Currency” #

After filling in the currency details, click on the “Add Currency” button to save the new currency. This action will integrate the currency into your admin panel.

Step 7: Repeat for Other Currencies (if needed) #

If you want to add more currencies to your admin panel, repeat steps 4 to 6 for each additional currency you wish to include. This process allows you to build a comprehensive list of currencies that can be used for pricing, transactions, and display purposes on your website or web application.

That’s it! You have successfully added multiple currencies to your admin panel. These currencies are now available for use throughout your website or web application, providing flexibility and convenience for your users.
